The last several years were spent training officer candidates in the Utah National Guard. While active duty and studying for his MBA, Larry was convinced to enter the financial services industry over teaching high school economics. He was asked to become a Legacy team manager early in his career and has since become the lead manager and trainer of the Legacy field force. Larry was the host of a financial education radio show in 2016 called Perfect Storm Radio on AM 1430 KLO.The “Protect First” core value of Legacy comes in part from the personal experience Larry had serving thousands of families throughout Utah and Idaho. This seminal experience compounded as Larry spent thousands of hours looking at client statements, policies, and helping them make some of the most important financial decisions of their lives. Today, he shares his enthusiasm for providing solutions to protect many of people’s most precious goals with his agents and advisors through weekly training and counseling and his own clients through personalized care. Larry and his wife, K’Lyn, have four rays of sunshine all in grade school. They enjoy scouting, camping, wrestling, swimming, and playing games. Larry enjoys road races and reading just about everything. He serves as an instructor for the Utah Junior Achievement program to teach young people about economic success.
